About The Feldenkrais Method®
The Feldenkrais Method® is for anyone who wants to move, think, and feel themselves in their body more effortlessly. Whether you want to be feel comfortable sitting at your computer, or at play, or while engaging in a favorite activity, these gentle lessons are intended to improve your overall sense of well-being.
Learning to move with less effort makes our daily lives easier. Because the Feldenkrais Method® focuses on the relationship between movement and thought, increased mental awareness and creativity can accompany any physical improvements. Everyone, from athletes and artists, administrators and attorneys, can benefit from the Feldenkrais Method®.
Functional Integration® sessions
Often the body maintains limiting habits and holding patterns that can lead to chronic pain, tension, poor physical performance, and discomfort over time. By working directly with the nervous system to re-learn how we move, Feldenkrais is able help us begin to recognize and overcome these life-long limitations. Lessons teach the means to take charge of our own improvement and sessions leave us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. We not only address tension and pain in the body, but in these sessions we will learn how to avoid it in the future. The goal is for movement to be more effortless and pain-free. We want our clients to feel more comfortable in their bodies, and workouts outside of the Spa to be more effective.
After experiencing Feldenkrais Functional Integration® sessions, people often express feelings of deep relaxation and ease. They move and breathe more freely and find their thoughts have more clarity. The learning process is full of pleasant surprises and personal breakthroughs.
