Rasa Spa provides a clean and calm setting where men and women can receive professional waxing services.

Before Your Appointment

For best results, hair should be approximately 1/4" long - the length of a grain of rice - which is typically at least 3-4 weeks of growth. We know it's tempting, but shaving before waxing interferes with best results so do try to refrain from shaving. Waxing, unlike shaving, works around your natural hair growth cycle and if you refrain from shaving and keep with waxing, you can break the pattern of ingrowth and stubble.

Precautions:

If you are taking anti-inflammatory medications, this should be done at least an hour before the appointment and not immediately before.

Medications that include ingredients like retin-A and alpha hydroxies should not be used 72hrs before waxing. Blood thinners and thyroid medications can also cause skin to be more fragile and increase risk of lifting skin.  Please be sure to let your practitioner know of any medications you're currently on prior to your appointment.

It's suggested to refrain from tanning 48 hours after the appointment as the exfoliation prior to the waxing can make your skin more likely to get a sunburn.

What To Expect:

Waxing before a facial is preferred, but please check in with your aestheticians about using a peel on the same day as a wax.

At Rasa Spa, we want you to feel comfortable. Waxing services performed below the waistline or over $50 in services can enjoy the spa experience by wrapping up in a robe, taking a warm shower after your session to open pores and calm skin after waxing.

Please note that a complimentary day pass is not included in our waxing treatments totaling under $50.  If you'd like to stay and enjoy the day at the spa there will be an additional $10 charge.

For OPTIMAL WAXING RESULTS, ask for High Frequency Current added to your service. This treatment is antibacterial, minimizes ingrown hairs, and infuses skin cells with nourishing oxygen.
